Apologies for the naive question but I've downsized from a V4 to a V2; do people know whether the a 180/60 rear tyre will sit ok on my spare V4 rim (or will it be undersized). Alternatively will a 200/60 work on the V2 or will it upset the geometry/ABS/TCS electronics etc?
The V2 Rim is a 5.5 versus 6 inch Rim I believe. So it will be stretched, better to run the bigger one. the V2 though uses a 1299 swingarm and fittings so all the 1199/1299 series wheels fit, but again 6 inch rim
I know you can run a 190 on the v2 with a six inch rim but that is tight. I had this setup on my track bike. Pretty sure you couldn’t use a 200 as not enough clearance. It would probably upset the handling a fair bit too. Don’t forget to recalibrate either way.
