Hi all Just though i would share my recent upgrades on my V4S Multi. The only two complaints i had centered around the hand guards (being too low) and the air scoops letting rain on to your shins in downpours. Having been with a friend when ordeing his Multi GT i noticed the re-designed hand guards and the flaps for the scoops. So ordered these and fitted. A word of caution though. I love Evotech products so had the hand bars fitted around the hand guards. When fitting around the new hand guards the fit was far too tight and would rub in certain area's. They also dont align nicely with the new guards. Evotech do not metion this and there is no re-design yet. Also i wient to fit the Evotech crash bungs but discovered, after stripping dowm, that on the left hand side of the bike they stop the flaps from shutting. I pointed this out to Eveotech but could not see it mentioned when ordering. They refunded me my money,
There is another thread about the crash bungs, you need to adapt the flaps buy cutting a little away with a dremel
I installed the Duc handguard accessories a couple years ago and am happy with them. The top portion adds height which helps with the coverage. The best part is the aluminum side bars they come with. They're very solid and having tipped my Multi over a couple of times, they hold up much better than the factory plastic guards.
Not had issues with the guards rubbing on my GT , have noticed the miss alignment but have taken the plastic of for better summer cooling. Eveotech Hand Guards work very well and stopped a nasty possible incident when I clipped the Armco on a Spanish road on the throttle side , just left a long gouge , but stopped the brake and fingers taking a hit . Recommend for me .
