Hi all, Thought I'd give you all an update on the lowering kit I've had fitted to my 2022 V4S. I'm 5' 8" and 31" inside leg. I'm a confident rider but with age, I've noticed my strength lessen over the years and this does knock my confidence when coming to a stop as I was always on the balls of my feet. This became worse on uneven or cambered road surfaces. So, I bit the bullet and got Ducati Alton to fit the lowering kit which consisted of front fork springs, rear shock and shorter side stand. The centre stand is the same although I can manage to lift it onto the centre stand without luggage. I have to say that it has not changed the bikes handling at all as far as I can feel but it does give me much more confidence knowing I can now flat foot the bike when coming to a stop. I also have the lower seat. Steve
I lowered my Rally as well. Brought it down 20 mm. Rides the same but does corner a little better due to the lower COG I'm assuming. I also got a pair of Daytona M-Star GTX boots. They are 8 mm thicker at the front of the sole where you touch the ground. They really helped and are by far the most comfortable boots I've had so far albeit they are EXPENSIVE! Marc
