I have just bought a complete ventura rack with packs from the bay of fleas for my 848! Naturally no fitting instructions with it so I was wondering if some kind soul here had some they could scan and post here? It looks pretty straightforward but dont want to make an expensive mistake with my ham fisted spannering!! Thanks!
I had to modify the l-brackets to get the correct width for the rack because I have carbon exhaust hangers that are thicker then the stock hangers. I ended up sawing several mm off the tubes that take the bolt to the extended hex exhaust hanger bolt.
At the risk of sounding a bit dim, do you need the rear footrests fitted in order to fit the L brackets?
Is the correct answer, they're fiddly little feckers to get set up just so and need shimming out both sides to get an accurate, even, fit. Stick with it but it will take you longer than you think to get just right if the one on my 748 is owt to go by.
