V happy with it on mine, wish it had been installed before my single stone chip as you were up at JHP you could have contacted Covertech who did mine and I believe do JHP's if requested by customers. Both our cars have had it "applied" and its performed its job admirably. However an even better product is XPEL ultimate as we have just had our new car "done" almost a laquer like finish, but haven't found a supplier that fits bikes, the guys I used for our car have just finished their second McLaren P1 so their work is pretty outstanding as you can imagine.
It was on my 848 Evo when I bought it & I've not done anything to mark it yet. I've assumed it's ventureshield as I wasn't aware that anyone else did it for bikes. My 848 is in the matt black & I like the fact that it doesn't make the matt bits that it's applied to shiny. I've got armourfend on a car, that I bought new over 8 years ago & that's only picked up a couple of marks, although it gives a shiny finish to a matt black part of the car that it's applied to. Still bugs after 8 years!
I always have and always will have it on my bikes. Just be sure you have it fitted professionally or you know what your doing.
Was plesantly surprised to find it fitted to my Desmo when i bought it. You can't even tell it's there unless you look or feel the panel edges. It's worth every penny in my opinion.
Ive had it on all my bikes,if stone chips bug you get it done,as said they do matt and gloss,i have both types on my Multi PP the matt stuff works well over the new style matt carbon and no need for ugly tank pads.
Obviously vairy's on type of bike,my diavel was £160 but my multi was £290 with the carbon and luggage,if it only stops one boot scuff i would say its paid for itself.
Its great stuff. The only problem was i already had a couple of stone chips when i got it so it was a case of shutting the door after the horse had bolted. I bought a kit for the multistrada and spent an afternoon playing with it. It is not a "one shot deal" in that if you get it slightly wrong or wrinkled it can be removed, reworked and re applied. it all depends on whether you want the hassle, but as I love tinkering with bikes I didn't mind. £85 for the full pre cut kit. At first glance you cant tell its there.
£160 fitted on my 2013 Multi, almost invisible and keeps the paintwork perfect so far after 5000 miles.
Great stuff, i always buy the tank kit as a bare minimum as it protects the tank but retains the new clean look. On my 848 Evo I just had a few bits. most companies can do a custom kit if you ask, and they will fit as many of the bits you want into the smallest sheet to keep the cost down. Small bits like headlights, tank kit, front mudguard etc are really easy to fit. I did a pretty good job of the nosecone but it wasn't perfect. If i did the nosecone of my 916 I would have it done professionally.
