Very Wet Scotland Trip

Discussion in 'Touring' started by Vader, Sep 13, 2020.

  1. we were supposed to be going to the Pyrenees but Covid ended that plan so, Scotland then and the NC500.
We couldn’t do all of the NC due to lack of accommodation so based ourselves in Inverness and did parts of it.
Weather was truly awful, Pyrenees would’ve been too hot at 26 degrees and sunny

Got the Tyre changed at North Coast Customs in Inverness. (It’s not a custom shop) They stayed on to sort me and my mate out. Top blokes and didn’t rip us off.

  2. aye, its been pretty damp this September. normally not the worst month.

  3. Don’t mind a little rain but every day pissed down, really disappointed. Especially as my water proofs and new water proof boots aren’t water proof, well, not Scottish weather proof anyway.
It was a shame because the roads are great (rough surfaces tho) and scenery is stunning. However I don’t think there was a motor home left in England as they were all up there!

  4. yip, staycations. its a pisser i know, you want folks to have a good time when visiting, for bikers and beach loungers timing is everything.
try may and june next time. :upyeah:
