Saturday morning I was plunged back into the dark ages. No TV, Broadband or telephone service. Oh no, not the ringing Virgin customer services farce again. I rang them from my mobile and after umpteen multiple choice questions I am told its a 20 minute wait for someone to pick up the phone. I, waited and waited and waited. After around 25 mins the line was cut off. Bloody typical. Finally on the third attempt I was told by Albert that there are known issues in my local area and it will be back on in an hour or so. Sunday morning, still nothing, here we go again with VM's customer services. Finally getting through again I am now told it will be Christmas eve before anyone takes a look at it. He did say that I would be compensated 2 days worth which equates to about £6, marvellous. I am getting to the end of my tether with Virgin, I had a poor response from them not long ago with a broken android mobile which they tried to charge me £100 for even though it was under warranty. I hate sky but may have to see whats on offer.
Exactly why I chopped the lead at the pavement and got a dish. Sure we have occasional issues but still an improvement
I had loads of issues with virgin and in the end gave up. I went with BT business in the end. Yes I pay a lot more, but the reliability has been rock solid in every respect (touch wood!) I'd get rid of Sky too if I had another avenue of getting HBO content. Apparently Sky has tied up HBO contracts outside of the USA, which is why you can't subscribe to HBO Go in the uk. Be funny if BT managed to rip that off them at contract renewal as well.
