Both me and my good wife volunteer for SERV Wessex, its very rewarding work and it gets you out on your bike, whilst saving lives and money for the local NHS. We cover most of Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset and are always looking for more volunteers, riders, drivers, controllers and fundraisers. Riders must hold a current advanced riding qualification, RoSPA, IAM or Police Class 1 If you are interested in getting involved as a rider/driver/controller, helping out with events or becoming a sponsor, please contact us at [email protected] Thanks
I have, and spoken to my local. Seems to be run by a complete turnip, and it's very political between neighbouring counties!! I am observing too ,so doesn't leave so much free time what with work and family stuff etc.
Thats a shame but you can't do everything. I observe for a local RoSPA group as well, but misty associates mainly want to train in the summer. I ride all year. Blood biking really is a positive thing, which we enjoy. I suppose its like observing, our local IAM group was swallowed up by a neighbouring group as they were muppets.
This sounds great, so much so that I am now looking at doing a rospa as I have plenty of time to get involved in such a good cause. The problem is that it is not on Merseyside, it's not far though in Manchester. Just contacted my nearest rospa group and will take it from there. Good post, thanks
