I’m after scratching an itch and need a 748 in my garage next to my 91 GSXR . I’m ideally looking for a sub 10k miles bike with 2-3 owners tops. I don’t want an E though, I would take a mint Bip, S, or SPS. Bike needs be pretty much 100% original or supplied with ALL parts to return to original. Yes I’m probably after a unicorn but if you don’t ask, you don’t get Any enthusiast on here selling ?
I was speaking the the owner of the 9000 mile bike but it’s just disappeared so think it’s sold before I could commit . The other one has 18k on and a fair bit of carbon .
I'm sure these bikes are about, you will find a few but I'd guess autumn might be a better time. I am curious about why you want a bike with just a few previous owners, any original bike with low miles has investment potential and minimal wear & tear. With low miles its probably spent its life sat in garages & lounges anyway? Anyhow goodluck with finding a great example.
I just think long term a bike with low owners and miles is a better bet. However a well maintained clean bike trumps everything.

It bugs me that a “collector” can’t be arsed to clean the headlight lenses. Might have been registered in 2003 but will have been delivered to the dealer, prior to July 2002 and the wheels don’t look like the correct colour but that could be the photograph. “Not ridden but regularly started” rings alarm bells for me and oh yes, it’s a 748E. Still a bit spicy on the price though and again would have been delivered prior to July 2002. Original owner might have chosen not to register at purchase but my guess is that it sat in the dealers until it was first registered which was very common. Andy
Yeah price wise that would have been absolute top whack for me , ideally I would have offered £7500 cash and hoped that would have done it. Sadly it sold in hours so must have been worth it to someone !
