As the title suggests, I am after some side farings for a 749s 2004. Not worried about paint finish or colour, so long as they are solid. Many Thanks
I have found some fairings, however they are from a 999 2006, mine is the 749 2004, I beleive they should fit?? However if you have a 749 set then please let me know
2003/4(silverframe) and 2005/69(redframe,facelift) fairings are different, you cant mix them. To fit 05/6 fairings to a 03/4 bike you will need complete fairing and nose cone plus the front support brackets(alloy wings) that bolt to the headlamp shell. I'm looking for right side 05/06 999 fairing or both sides if you don't want them.
Thanks for the reply, good to know, my mate has these fairings which he will lend me until i can replace them more perminently. But looks like I may have to keep searching.
If you can borrow both complete sides then try them(10 minute job). The 'cheeks' that join your nosecone won't line up exactly but okish from what I've been told. I have a spare 05 nose and support brackets not being used that you can borrow if you want to convert completely, I'm in Brentwood. If your mates fairing comes up for sale I'm very interested.
Thanks again, I will be collecting the fairings at the weekend, at some stage so will see if they fit next week. The side fairings he has are not matching and are some battle scares. if they fit and or ok, i will use them in Almeria in October so it will not unitl after that if he doesn't want them back.
