Just fitted a 19x20 Brembo billet master clutch cylinder and lever, and I am not man enough to pull the lever for long. I'm thinking a better clutch slave will help, and then if I still cant manage it I will look at changing the clutch springs as well. So if anybody has a decent clutch slave they no longer need (and or clutch springs for a Surflex Slipper) then please let me know. I don't want to sound picky but the plainer looking the better, I'm not really into bright blue/gold annodised things. Many thanks.
while you sort out your slave you could try taking 2 opposing springs/caps off as 9 times out of 10 you will get no slippage as a result but you will get a noticeably lighter action.
Great idea I'll try that. Now you mention it I have seen clutch's in the past with two opposing springs missing but never really thought much of it.
Alf, even with an oberon you'll still need wrists like a silverback to manipulate a 19x20 - and pray you don't hit traffic. I had it on my SS, and in the end I just sourced the 16x To put it in perspective, when I fitted the 16x clutch lever with the oberon slave cyclinder I went through nearly 250mls of fluid as the action was so light against what i'd been used to that I thought it wasn't bleeding.
