Police is doing the safe the cyclist campaign so anything with an engine is getting pulled for very stupid minor things. Be careful.
Haven't commuted regularly this year, will probably start next week. I do Wandsworth, Clapham, Elephant and Castle inbound. Need to find a good way up to Finsbury Square area, will probably go through Smithfield.
Anyway, sounds like your best bet is straight over London Bridge, left then immediate right onto King William St, follow it through Bank and rightish onto Moorgate and straight up to Finsbury Sq. Ok on a bike, bit shit in a van
Are you driving or riding? I'd be north of the river from there; Putney bridge, hook a right onto the A308 (?) and hook up with Chelsea embankment, it's normally ok along there. Cut up Royal hospital rd, another left up Ebury st, to the end and left up to Hyde pk corner, down past Buck Pal to Trafalgar square and up onto Strand, along to Aldwych and up Southampton Row, and do a right up there somewhere.
How did that turn in to direction discussion. However as said London is where they all are right now. I mean everywhere worse then a rush.
Didn't see a copper all day and I was right in the city. The commute home wasn't exactly genteel, either...
Riding... will give this a try as well. Sorry about the hijack. Anyway, fuck the cyclists, especially the bearded twits on fixies.
Did not see any coopers. Piaggio Mp3 cooper next to each exit of trfalgar square roundabout in morning. blue hond pulled turning from Embankment in to Northumberland, silver Toyota of sorts funny enough turning from embankment to Northumberland but from opposite direction. That was just morning.
I think you'll find they're pulling the cyclists, not the other traffic. That's what they were doing in Bloomsbury. Stopping anyone who jumped the lights.
