Warranty Returns - worth it?

  1. Now I have a little extra time on my hands I have gone about making a few 'returns' on products I feel were not up to the job

2 x Schuberth Visors (they are £60.00 a pop) both broke around the plastic thumb catch
    - first one replaced no hassle by RaceVisors
    - 2nd one came from Infinity - they have sent back to Schuberth - waiting to hear

    1 x pair Dayton boots (Gore-Tex)
    - Infinity will send back as less than 2 years old and the waterproofness is guaranteed for 2 years, could take 4/6 weeks though but they have failed and again were 'flippin expensive'

  2. defo, how many hours did you work to pay for them.
got to be worth 1 or 2 hours to recoup.

  3. Generally I can't be bothered. I don't buy crap, not that I am suggesting you have in this case, and the occasional disappointment I put down to experience. If something failed early on with light usage I might take it back to the seller if it was expensive. SWMBO will persue people to the ends of the earth

Note that the contract you have is with the seller, Infinity in this case, not the manufacturer, and it is their responsibility to put right any wrong.

  4. Ive only ever took one company to task over a failure . Happened to be Kawasaki but got a good result . There was a recall on early ZX9Rc`s something to do with the tank but cant remember what . Kawasaki dealers and kawasaki uk refused to do it as it was a parallel import even though I pointed out that it was a factory recall . An Email to Kawasaki japan complaints got me an Email from kawasaki uk telling me to take it to the local agent for immediate repair . Did I enjoy that visit .

  5. Love the sig 2242:biggrin:
