I want to proof a quilted textile jacket. It's not the usual motorbike cordura or cordura-like textile but more the sort of material fashion jackets are made from (see pic). I've used Nikwax before but it was ages ago and I can't remember if it worked or not. What's good, what's rubbish? Any Top Tips appreciated. Thanks.
Nikwax was my go to ‘wash in’ waterproofer as well. Found it was more a repellant than proofer. OK for showers but nothing heavy. Used it on fleeces and light rain used to bead on the fleece.
I thought it might be but Google said Dover is cockney RS for “give over” The jacket is a Bering Maximus btw.
We use Nick wax in this house for my boys work oranges waterproofs. I have used the waterproofer on my light quilted jacket from M&S it's shower proof but not waterproof It works well on my karrimor weathertite jacket as that's already waterproof
