it's raining and cold at Silverstone and watching the close ups on the grid I notice that none of the riders have Pinlocks? I see that they all have some kind of fogging guard they are wearing that stops the fogging of the visor. Nevers seen these before and wondering if they work as good as the Pinlocks for the road.
It's probably too cold for insects to need a tear-off but getting cooler and damp so a fog insert inside is needed. They work like double glazing.
Is that the same as a pinlock....? I was there on sunday too....post 3pm it wasnt much fun to watch, or i guess moreso for the riders....by 4.30 i couldnt feel my fingers...Oulton Park this weekend....hopefully will be better...
They will simply treat the inside before they go then use the old foggy guard thing to keep the breath out. Hence none take their lid off or even open it on the grid.
