Waterman & Bassett's Pole

Discussion in 'Rideouts & Events' started by Stressed Hippo, Feb 16, 2013.

  1. Do any of you attend bike meets at the above?

  2. There are a few of us here who weather permitting attend both most every week come the summer

  3. What nights are they on? I've just started working in Tamworth again so was planning to pop along once the snow had buggered off.

  4. Bassetts Pole is tuesday and The Waterman which is now actually at Hatton Country World (only just round the corner from The Waterman) is on a wednesday.

  5. Cool,

Let me know when your off and ill zip over.

  6. I drove past the Bassetts Pole on Tuesday about 7:00pm, still a bit of snow around. There was one guy on a Suzuki GS550 ( I think ) in the car park, he was probably wondering 'where the hell is everybody' !!!

Last time I was up there loads of kids on quads pulling wheelies and generally being ...holes !! won't be long before they stop that meet then..

Didn't know they'd moved the Waterman meet .......................... that's a good ride out for me.

  7. we tend to skip the what was waterman now hatton meet as its a little dull. no drinks available and a crappy burger van. we go to the pen and parchment in stratford. landlord likes the bikes, does 2 main meals for £10 and the drinks are priced well. its getting more popular now. also plenty of sitting room. that or the arrow mill oposite ragley hall alcester. loads of parking, nice ride out and the owner has a few bikes.

  8. Cheers for the heads up on those, have to check them out come the warmer weather :upyeah:

  9. +1
Hatton was getting busy towards the end of last year and it attracts a nice enough bunch.
Looks like we should try heading over Stratford way on a nice evening.

  10. I tend to go to both during the summer months.

I prefer Hatton as the roads are better and Bassetts has just become over policed so anything illegal on yuor bike your going to get nailed.

I normally do Bassetts once a month and Hatton every week.

  11. I'm up for meeting up in Stratford for a brew Sunday mornings once this crap weather goes. Ditto for a weekday evening run out.

  12. I'll try to get along to Hatton, Bassetts and Stratford this year. Look forward to seeing you all there. Do Ducatisti tend to congregate together?

  13. We tend to head round to the Mcdonalds carpark (main part not the entrance). Its always good if we can try and get as many of us in one area as possible so all the good stuff is in one place :upyeah:

  14. Sounds good, nothing like an egg McMuffin and hot cup of Joe after a jaunt around North Warwickshire.

  15. Exactly. Lets hope for more than three days of sun this year.

  16. Considering how bad the weather was last year i still managed to clock up over just over 4,500 miles

  17. Im not sure what I did but seeing as my knee kept me off the Duc for a few months its lower than it should have been.

  18. I've created a group for us west midland folks. I think you can just message to an individual group, so any planned meets can be co-ordinated using the group.
