I will be riding there and back, as last time. Plan to meet up with,and hopefully stay in the same place as the UKMOC lot either Milan area on the Wednesday, or more likely Misano area for the Thursday to Sunday and then ride back myself. Apart from a couple of nights in a fantastic B&B I stayed in in Piedmont last time round, not worked out where else I'll be going. Possibly a detour into Tuscany (Lucca? Pisa?) for a night, and then need to work out a good route through France. Quite fancy another day of fantastic French Alps/foothills - someone said the road from Cuneo in Italy to Barcelonette is worth checking out. And then there's a little further west (Millau etc) ... It'll be fun planning.
I am planning on riding down .... my plan was through France (wine country), down to Briancon, across to Turin and then down. From previous European trips, I reckon 250 miles a day (off motorway, taking scenic route) is more than enough. Any takers??
Sounds like a plan. I'm up for it. I don't particularly want a quick blast down motorways, seems like a missed opportunity to enjoy the ride. 250 m per day is probably my limit.
