Weeping Brake Fluid

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Duff-miver, Jan 28, 2021.

  1. Hi all .... just noticed fluid weeping from the front brake lever plunger dust seal on my 2017 multistrada, it’s not loads but there were a few drops on the c/f trim below it :( .... does this sound like a job for a ducati dealer? or is there a simple fix ... cheers.

  2. Looks like the main seal on the piston has failed, if you are familiar and confident changing brake seals.
Do it yourself, otherwise leave well alone and take it to a dealer, soon!
Keep the fluid off of painted panels.

  3. Pretty sure you will have to send the master cylinder off to be refurbished. Brembo brake master cylinder parts are not available through a Ducati dealer. KTM dealer parts departments used to but not sure that they still do and you had to know which KTM had the same brake master cylinder. Bike Torque Racing did a good turnaround for me. Andy
