as I just purchased a Honda SH 125 Scooter. WTF never in my life would I think I will get any scootre and now not only have I got one it has top box, quiet exhaust and looks like pizza delivery scooter. Commute on Ducati is so much more fun but theft & running costs if you do short 10 mile trips told me to look somewhere else. Crap.
Well I was thinking that now shooping for beer will be easier..... I might rock up on it to BoxHill meet as well loaded with cakes.
Following the theft of my ninja, I'm giving serious consideration to picking up a second hand Suzuki van van to commute into central London on so you're not alone Luca. Maybe we should get a meet up arranged at the ace for all those with proper bikes whose choose to ride abombinations

Because that Van van looks quite cool it might get nicked fast. I went for scooter that is ugly amongst scooter users and is very reliable/cheap to run. Now I need to pick it up, mot, replace pads and missing mirror. Parts about 40, labour 0, mot 25, road tax 17

Back in't day I did a deal with my local bike shop; he painted my Guzzi and I painted his shop front, and while the Guzzi was off the road he lent me a Honda Spacy 250 scoot. Bloody hell that thing was fun. Spent all the time chasing proper bikes and scaring the crap out of them. If I'd had any money at all I'd have bought it off him. Thankfully I was saved from gheyness by being flat broke:biggrin:
agree with fig mopeds have more chance of being stolen mainly because teenage bike thieves dont know how to work gears lol

Yes but they will only nick scooters that in their head look cool. SH is anything but cool looking. Ugly MPV comes to mind
Mate, I have a Honda PCX125 which I use to get around on whilst I am in the UK. It's an awesome little thing and is bags of fun.
And the worse the bike is the more you shift into the 'nick it just to get home then dump it' bracket. There's no winning, they'll nick anything, just keep a massive chain in the top box
