You may have seen it in the news, how sad for all the families and friends of those seven people who died. Also, for the pilot of the Hawker Hunter who didn't eject as he knew he was going to crash and tried to steer it away. RIP all.
They mentioned on the news it was near to entrance with some bikers and Marshall's caught up in it Very sad
I suppose the only consolation is that they wouldn't have felt much.......Well....I like to think they hadn't felt much.
A terrible tragedy, a terrible pilot error. note to all - please don't watch if you think it may upset you :-
You are driving down the road, minding your own business listening to a bit of Eminem, and get hit by jet plane. Just reinforces my view that when your time is up, its up. Shocking for all involved, and always more so when its so close They have released details of three of the dead, and none of them looked over 30 Terrible loss
lets wait for the facts before we blame the pilot,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, makes me wonder how the pilot got out of that alive.
Pics in today's paper showed the cockpit intact and missing the cars , however the devastation behind was terrible. I can only hope the dead never knew what hit them. Rip
It's not been a good year for planes crashing at shows. I'd be surprised if there isn't a knee-jerk reaction from the H&S brigade wanting to stop older fast jets being demonstrated at air shows...
Yes,but what if the pilot knew he was going to crash and tried to steer it away from the road? He could've ejected surely?
