  1. Mrs Mervyn is looking for a small MPV.Something like a Citroen Berlingo or Picasso C3 sized vehicle.
Any comments or suggestions, experience and knowledge would be very welcome.Thankyou.

  2. if it's new it wont matter.
personally i would have the doblo.

  3. Thankyou finm.I had a Doblo Cargo from new years ago.Hadn't done much mileage, just out of warranty, and major engine problems with the injection. It was the 1.9D.Fiat wouldn't contribute a penny.I did like it though and Mrs Mervyn liked the sit up van type driving posn.I assume the newer ones are better-would be looking for a low mileage secondhand one probably.Unless there were good deals on new purchase or leasing.

  4. unusual fault in my experience. 8years with fiat and never seen an injector problem. or any real engine problem for that matter.
unfortunately they all come with d.p.f. now so cant comment on that, keep the revs up and drive them hard, it saves more in the long run.

  5. Have you any favourite or recommended engine for the Doblo range, not fussed about fuel consumption but like a bit of torque?Thankyou finm.
Incidentaly my Cargo was a 2001 model with the basic 1.9 engine.

  6. VW caddy. Low on extras, unless you are prepared to pay for them. But good sound engines and that sit up high experience. Oh also a good turning circle.

  8. My suggestion may be a little small for you in size and it is a bit quirky in styling but a Renault Modus 1.5 DCi is worth a look. I bought one for the wife when it was 10 months old and 10k on the clock in 2005 - still have it, now showing 130k miles - faultless other than the annoying front bumper off and headlight removal just to change a light bulb, something they addressed on the upgrade model around 2009. We paid £6300 for it and it has returned 70 to 80mpg on long runs and 60+mpg around town. The seats fold to make a van and the driving position is high, like a mini MPV. It's been a cheap reliable car. :)

  9. Thankyou Exige-all suggestions worth looking at
