My attempt to pay myself a few thousand from the Cater Allen account was rejected by my trustee. I put in an extra 'e' to my name. I did notice this when I saved the request but didn't worry as the sort code and account number were correct. I think that "Donald Duck "would work, but now I live in a new world, where the default position is that I am a money launderer and not to be trusted, so I've tried again. Talking of money laundering, it looks unlikely that I can get around it by paying my cousin in five grand lots to get to the ninety three odd thousand I am paying him, so I think that I will have to phone the Cater Allen Pretend Bank to try to persuade them that I am honest! Now, I would like some views: I have been sent a financial plan of what Chase de Very intend to do with my award. They want to invest the money in various shit that they do not expect to bring in a return for ten years at least. I am 64 and don't really cherish the thought of waiting ten years before a positive return is received, whilst paying them 0.5% per annum for the privilege. They are talking about investing in trust funds and National Savings accounts. All very safe but I do this now myself and do not need to pay somebody to do this for me! I have emailed my trustee (was my solicitor who got me the award) and said it is crap! Is it? And the onion of one medical non-expert is that I'll be dead by then after all my head injuries! In ten years time, I will be 74. I want to have fun in the next ten years - travel and buy stuff (like this Yamaha automatic bike) and not think about what Chase de Vere are scheming up with my wodge!!
Having gone through what I have gone through recently I would agree with you that you should make the most of now and use your money to do that. What’s the point of saving a shit load of dosh sitting at home doing the square root of fuck all only to pass away and leave it to someone who will spend it the way you should have? You’re a long time dead………use it for your own benefit whilst you can!
