Knowing I have helped someone. Call it RAK (Random Act of Kindness). Opening a door, saying thankyou. Smiling and meaning it. Makes my day every time. Happiness can be small stuff too. What makes you smile?
Small things. Seeing my grandchildren. Riding my bike. Coronation Street. Some posts on here. And stuff like that. I'm a simple soul really.
When I get to act like a juvenile on my bike.My family always brighten my day-like meeting my grown up daughter the other day at an upmarket restaurant, and she turns up with a brightly coloured helium balloon to celebrate my birthday. My son popping his head round the bedroom door the other day when I was laid up in bed-and then singing to me,in between fits of laughter,a verse of Soft Kitty Warm Kitty.Fans of Big Bang Theory will know this one. Mrs Mervyn keeps me smiling lots.
The thing (person) that's guaranteed to make me laugh is my granddaughter who's recently turned 6. The latest gem was at the weekend when I asked her why she ran past a downstairs toilet to use one upstairs after she'd told me she needed to go in a hurry she just said that she had her reasons and I shouldn't ask. Obviously I couldn't let that one go and asked her mother who said that she wouldn't have a dump downstairs in case it honked and we took the piss out of her. Not as much as I would have done if she'd shat herself because of running past the nearest one
