pretty sure a panigale will fit, and a diavel, does a 1*98 fit? Decided I need one for cleaning as I can't get the front wheel out without some dodgy set up on the centre stand. Thanks
I've just remembered, I do have an old Abba stand with some bobbins that fitted my 848. Wonder if that will fit...
I'm just up off nights so may be a bit woozy/thick here, but you want a rear stand so you can get the front wheel out ??
The rear needs to be high enough for the front to be lifted clear on a stand. The centr stand doesn't do that. So far I have just propped up the front with an axle stand but it only gives a couple mm clearance from tyre to ground and is more than a bit unstable!! So you need a paddock stand to lift the rear a bit
If you plan to still use the centre stand as balance point - lifting the rear - will push front nearer to ground - actually should be touching on centre stand - with back wheel 20mm off ground approx.
If you put a front stand under while on the centre stand it will simply topple over. Hence needs alternative stand
Well the Abba fits one side, but not the other and the gap is too tight for a socket. Considered rigging something up with the adapter and a socket to go into the Allen bolt , but decided weight on that point may not be the best idea especially as it would need to be made to fit with tape.... So back to plan A
