I have this twin cable quick action throttle on my 749R. I want to remove the throttle tube but can’t work out how to do it without disconnecting the cables at the throttle bodies...which I am loath to do as it’s a hassle. Unlike normal throttles, this one does not split in half so it can be removed from the handlebar. It is a solid billet that slides onto the bar in one piece and is held in place with 3 tiny grub screws at 120deg spacing. The throttle tube flange is held in place by a separate plate which is installed before the grip is put on the tube and then all this is attached with 6 small countersunk screws into the plate. I took it apart a bit just now but it is not possible to disconnect the cables. Anybody else have one of these or know who made it - I have looked on t’internet and cannot find anything that looks like it. It may be a JHP Racing part possibly.
No, the Venhill ones I can see on Google have two larger cap head Allen bolts “inboard” of the throttle assembly that appear to clamp the assembly to the bar.
