Hi all, We are due to leave the south coast tomorrow for a 5 day tour of Wales,7 bikes in all with wives and girlfriends. As the weather is going to be absolute crap everybody apart from me has decided to call it a day and go in the cars! I really wanted to do this trip on the ST but am I being foolhardy and should I join my colleagues and stay dry? We are all used to touring in the rain when we've been away to Europe on numerous occasions but as we've got our spouses with us and it looks like rain everyday I feel that they won't enjoy it if we are all soaking wet!We are staying in Hotels and they are all booked and paid for.I need guidance or divine intervention from above ! Question - would your other half kill you if she was soaking wet for 7 days and more so when the others are dry?
Yea my sentiments exactly! She is really good though and I know she would come with me on the bike but I would feel guilty that I made her do it!
Other half and I had a few days touring in the pouring rain in Wales about a month ago. Weather lousy but mid Wales roads still awesome. Staying in proper hotels there's a chance your kit will dry out overnight. Personally I'd be kicking myself taking the car and missing out on the mid Wales road, but that's just me!
