What's It Going To Take?

  1. What's it going to take to sell this bike do we think:

Without giving it away of course.

I don't think it's overpriced, unless anyone disagrees?
I've said I'm happy to listen to offers.
I've offered to put it back to standard if requested and said all along I'm flexible on all aspects of the sale.

I've had two really bad experiences selling bikes on Ebay in recent years and really don't want to go through it all again.

    Any suggestions anyone?

I don't even want to sell it, which is making it harder, but I need the space before I can get another bike, and the funds from this to bump up my pot for the next bike.
it will be the first time in a very long time I'll be without a Monster, but I just can't ride it any more.

I've done about 30 miles on it today and am suffering this evening.
I can spend a couple of hours on my 999, and have done a couple of long test rides on Multis recently with no issues, but old injuries coming back to haunt me mean I get really bad cramps in my thighs and feel like my hips are dislocating after just a few miles cramped up on what is essentially a bike the size of a 250.

  2. Had the same issue on my 95 M900.. Id cramp up in the upper thigh, this is what I ended up with

    love the bike now :)
As for selling here in Aus we have gumtree and facebook market place, both have risks as is any dealing with the smelly public :D... there are auction sites/houses that take most of the hassle and risk out but at a cost.

  3. Thanks Auwozza.

I've tried all sorts of things, as least 4 different sets of plates to move the footrests around, but nothing worked.
I knocked them up in steel plate and was planning to remake in Ali if it worked.
My heels are simply too close to my arse on the bike combined with the position of my hips.
It's a bit ridiculous that my 999 is much better, I'm convinced it's because it's a physically much longer bike despite the more radical riding position.
My legs are not bent as much and my hips are far more comfortable.

I'm going to have to bite the bullet and stick it on ebay I suppose.
