Where does it go?? Black’s always safe. There will be no piss taking with black… but fuggem, get what you like
They bolt on via the calliper bolts and run around the outside of the calliper to the disc. Handy to carry as all you have to stow once unlocked is the lock barrel which is small. They do add a little un-sprung weight though. Pretty negligible. Whilst I agree with your 2nd statement; personally I would get, and already have myself, the black one. More stealth and less bling. Not too sure how relevant this is but the manufacturers part number is, or was, only Thatcham approved for the official Roadlok. The Ducati performance version, and others, weren't despite being the same product. Not sure if the same applies to the coloured official versions? Maybe a moot point as I understand that's the approval requires annual subs to be paid, or retesting, and it was allowed to lapse. Still a decent lock though, as far as disc locks go.
I've got black on mine, only as I didn't realise there were any other options, but I'd go for gold if buying new for the PP.
Sorry! That's what I was thinking. Was a toss up for me between red to match the paintwork or gold to match the Ohlins. There's already loads of red on the bike already. I think gold will draw more attention to the gold Ohlins. I think I'll go bold and go gold. Nice to see everyone else's opinions though so thanks to everyone who voted!
