Interesting to put an original powder coated white frame against one which has been refinished in RAL 9016 Traffic White - the original is a much more off-white/creamy white colour. The original one (top) is a 1991 The refinished one is a 1995 (originally silver colour frame) Also, noticeable difference at the rear in the tube sizes where the rear seat lock panel sits. Not sure why.
strange indeed, wonder if the '91 frame could have been a pre production prototype or sumfink? Edit: was commenting on physical difference, not paint.
I prefer the top frame colourwise as more depth in the colour, did they not wet paint all the frames back in the day as opposed to the powder-coat format.
There won’t be consistency across the production run of 4 years colour matching wise. Ducati Red has also changed over the years as process’s change and most probably suppliers. If I understand you correctly the 91 is original from factory and the 95 you have had refurbished, White Yellows over time you won’t notice unless you had a swatch to compare it too from the original paint supplier. There are just too many variables at work for it to be otherwise.
