In an 11 hr operation a 3 kg tumour was removed along with his pancreas, spleen, small and large intestine (!). Good luck to him.
yes very good news for wilko and all his fans,,,,,,,, ( but I don't think he used the word " cured " , unfortunately,,,,,,,, "cancer free " is the more exact terminology ),, heard him on the radio yest afty
Incredible really Wonder of this was nhs and anyone couod get it?m not a dig btw just interested as seems incurable inoperable doesnt necessarily mean that

August last year .... Wilko Johnson: 'You have to live for the minute you're in' - Features - Music - The Independent Top bloke
I remember seeing old grey whistle test as a kid. Wilko stood out to me. Ive liked them ever since. Mainly because Wilko looked proper nuts and had the attitude I expected from a rock guitarist. Hes not too shabby in Game of Thrones either. Proper menacing. All hail the Wilko.
It's the best news I've seen for quite some time! I very much doubt that he has been specially favoured by the NHS - I think he's simply a lucky and brave man. That's lucky to have had what must be an unusual form of Pancreatic cancer (after all, it killed Steve Jobs, and he will have had the very best doctors and treatment possible), and to have had the luck to get through the NHS processes, see the right people, and receive the right treatment in the circumstances.
Indeed, any move forward treating non-treatable cancer has to be celebrated on a number of fronts Bit like the ebola outbreak and that they used untested (fully) vaccines because the receiver just said 'I'll die anyway, get on with it!'
I did see the Ramones, cant exactly remember if was same gig as the feelgoods but they were amazing as well,, nonstop noise ( sorry rock music ) for about 2 hours !!!
the bloke on the mouthey was pretty cool as well,,,, unfortunately he passed on a few years ago now,, rip him..
