Not just an event or simple bike meet, World Ducati Week is much, much more…
Every two years the Ducati universe gets together to celebrate a shared desmodromic passion and the pride that comes from belonging to such a prestigious, unique and fascinating brand. From 1 to 3 July 2016 the “Red Party” will be back, with this ninth edition hosted at the “Marco Simoncelli Misano World Circuit”. WDW2016 calls on Ducatisti from all over the world (over 65 thousand tickets sold at the 2014 edition) to get together for a three-day event which will coincide with the climax of celebrations for the 90th anniversary of Ducati.

In time-honoured fashion, there will be a busy programme of initiatives and surprises, experiences and emotions for all those attending World Ducati Week 2016. The undeniable protagonists will be the Bologna-made bikes and the Ducati MotoGP and Superbike riders from both the current MotoGP and Superbike teams that have just been presented, as well as all those who have contributed to the the history of the Italian motorcycle manufacturer. Plus, of course, the entire vast international community of Ducati enthusiasts that will flock to the Adriatic coast for a brightly coloured desmo-invasion!

As of 23 March, ticket sales for access to WDW2016 will be on sale through the wdw.ducati.it website. Passes for motorcyclists, rider and bike, are available together with passenger/visitor passes valid for a single day or for the entire duration of the event. Detailed information and prices are available on the wdw.ducati.it website.
By purchasing the entry ticket for WDW2016 you can take part in all the activities that make up this ninth edition, including the chance to enjoy memorable experiences with all of the new bikes in the 2016 Ducati range.

First there is the Multistrada 1200 Enduro, protagonist of the DRE Enduro, the new motorcycle academy dedicated to off-road riding that has recently been announced by Ducati and which will be available in capsule-form to all participants. The DRE Enduro is a course for motorcyclists who would like to perfect their off-road riding techniques and which allows them to get to know and enjoy the new 1200 Enduro to the full, a bike created to travel far and wide and with the ability to satisfy even the most demanding globetrotter.
The Ducati bikes will have the starring role at WDW2016, and not just the Multistrada Enduro, thanks to the “DRE Capsules” - sessions offered by the famous Ducati Riding Experience academy, in order for participants to improve their style, their control of the bike and their riding skills in safe conditions.

During World Ducati Week 2016, the Ducatisti community will also have an opportunity to dive into the seductive atmosphere of the XDiavel, the bike with which Bologna recently entered the cruiser world, interpreting the genre in true Ducati tradition in a sporting and technological way. The XDiavel will have a dedicated area and will be presented in all its finery: a bike boasting unmistakeable technical refinement and an extremely high level of performance that has already set a firm benchmark thanks to the design and innovation that define it.

The fun and carefree world of the Ducati Scrambler is of course an essential element of the ninth edition of the World Ducati Week. The “yellow area” will be characterised by its party atmosphere, many fun activities and the unmistakeable maxi-containers containing the brand new Scrambler Sixty2 and Scrambler Flat Track Pro. Moreover, this year the Land of Joy will bring the innovative Flat Track School to the “Misano World Circuit” - a riding course to teach drifting on dirt track circuits in safe conditions and with expert instructors and professional riders.
As well as the many skateboarding and BMX demonstrations, the Ducati Scrambler universe will also benefit from the presence of all the Special models created over the past two years and the five finalists of the Scrambler Custom Rumble competition – Ducati Scramblers customised by Ducati dealers from all over the world. A prestigious jury will select the overall winner during this very special event.

Champion riders from the past and present will of course also attend WDW2016, ready to share their passions and emotions with the thousands of enthusiasts who flock to the “Marco Simoncelli Misano World Circuit”. They will all take part in spectacular displays on the track, as well as signing autographs and meeting their fans. The 2016 Ducati MotoGP Team riders, Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone, will be joined by test rider Michele Pirro and representatives of other Ducati teams involved in the championship including Danilo Petrucci, Scott Redding, Hector Barbera, Loris Baz, Yonny Hernandez and Eugene Laverty. Former world champion Casey Stoner, the new test rider of the Ducati GP Desmosedici as well as ambassador for Ducati, will be warmly welcomed at WDW2016.
The world of SBK will also play a starring role in the WDW2016 paddock, with riders Chaz Davies and Davide Giugliano representing Aruba.it Racing – Ducati as well as champions from the past such as Troy Bayliss, Carlos Checa and many more, together again in Misano to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Ducati.

The great desmodromic passion of WDW2016 is exploding on social media networks with the #forzaducati and #worldducatiweek hashtags.

And this is only the beginning. A whole host of other surprises, news, initiatives and unmissable experiences are coming for this, the fantastic ninth edition of World Ducati Week. All updates on the events and initiatives scheduled for the three days at Misano will be available on the wdw.ducati.com website after the official launch of the event.
