Hey Selling on behalf of my dad. A mate bought this around 2000 as a French import from a back street garage in South London somewhere. He never managed to sort getting a V5 in his name, didn't really try hard from my recollection. After 12 months or so he just lost interest and it ended up with me and then my dad as it needed some TLC and my dad is quite handy and he also had a shed to keep it. It's been there ever since, dad did look at getting it registered but DVLA wanted MOTs, insurance and crap my dad couldn't be arsed to do. So it basically has French plates and no paperwork. As far as I know it starts and runs fine. Bike is in Weymouth. Dad is selling as he's decided he'll be dead soon so is selling his last 3 bikes to pay for his funeral (he's 85 but will probably outlive me). £ - I have no fricking idea but he wants pound notes, not cheesy puffs. 1985 Honda 125S Mileage 19442 (I expect that's KMs but can check). Engine No. 5413478 Frame No. L125S5502695
I'm wondering if I should go fetch it and go through the tasks for him....... What's it worth with a v5?
A classic Honda fan would love it i'm sure George or a learner maybe but with it's 12 odd hp it's a bit 'rice pudding' and not going to have much more appeal than a Fly (below) (only my opinion). here's one:- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-XL...m34096d703e:g:icMAAOSwfY9cxJKh&frcectupt=true going by this one, maybe it is worth a bit more:- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1980-Hon...m=192894390196&_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982
There is a couple on eBay but most are not as nice apart from a real mint one with tiny miles for £3.5K!
as above, going by the bidding on the knackered one it looks like there is more interest than I thought.
This guy sells similar bikes you might get an idea of value from him. http://www.classichondamotorcycles.co.uk/
