Yamaha Trialling Power Steering

Discussion in 'Other Bikes' started by El Toro, Mar 28, 2022.

  1. Is it me or are companies like Yamaha etc etc looking for solutions to "issues" we don't have? Radar et el.
More weight on a bike and even more electronic shizzle on already overloaded and porky bikes.

  2. It's because the average age of motorcyclists is going up. We aren't strong enough to turn the handlebars :joy::joy:

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  3. More to get closer to fully autonomous riding I suspect.

  4. I'm really curious about power steering on bikes. Isn't the steering already sensitive enough when ridden properly?

  5. Very interesting for safety, being able to measure input force on the bars, could read force on bars and lean angle sensor data, if pushing out of safe limits correct for the rider, improve mid corner stability and help hold a line on bad roads.

  6. 4 days too early
