Hello All, When it comes to electrics I know less than I do about thermonuclear fission. So basically I have a query, would a 996 battery (number in the title) be suitable for a 91-97 900SS (which normally takes a YB16AL-A2) "Why not just use a standard battery?" you ask! Because its going on this bike, which has a 900SS engine fitted. The battery is at the back on a tray inside the seat hump. Cheers for any advice.
Any 16Amp hour battery with 180 to 200 CCA with the dimensions you need will do. Unfortunately the YT12 won’t have the punch. Most battery web sites will let you search on size which should give you a choice of batteries. Andy
