I am indeed
This is how I mounted my Garmin 595 but found there was a bit to much wobble and ended up hunting down a Navihalter on fleabay second hand and paid the same price as if it was new. I wonder if the people at Navihalter have recovered from their crash ? hopefully they are up and around and building Nav mounts again !!
No: 867 @Tim9 are you 784
Whats the number Andy?
What have you spent on this, it looks very nice but I'm thinking maybe you should have left it standard as you won't get the money you would expect from the mods you have done on it, these are worth much more as standard, especially these days.
Yes you can. I've got a Garmin 395 but any GPS will suit provided its mounting plate can has a Ram ball.
The mount goes up and down with the screen, obviously, and in the lowest position you can still see the dash. With the double Ram socket you can adjust the GPS's height and angle easily. I now have a DVT with an MRS screen, which has a shallower angle then the OEM screen, so less clearance for the GPS to be angled upwards, but even so it leaves the dash clear.
Sweet mount, but with the satnav in place can you still see the speedo?
Cheers buddy @farmind
Cool! Bike’s looking mint, Andy
That’s brilliant! Brother in law is allowed to keep his Norton Dominator in the lounge (complete with stainless steel drip tray)!
LOVE THESE THINGS
Cheers mate, no plans to sell it will always have a place in the garage.
love these things; really nice bike, that should be a keeper
Thanks 998R, we like the right bikes? I am fond of the 9998R/996R 1199R is not really compareable, just different?
I have them at the moment
Looks awesome - good to ride ??
Home now for 2 weeks
Very interesting indeed and thanks for taking the time to reply. Very informative. I asked a couple of connected/informed friends and I understand that these bikes are still together living in Australia.
these bikes have cable clutches and thumb brakes as fitted when they were raced by ETI and Sean Emmett, rumor suggests that after Yamaha broke with Hizzy; that Hislop was due to take these bikes over; but unfortunately died in the crash 2003
In the combined rounds with WSBK these bikes ridden by Shakey Bryne
were so far ahead that the WSBK boys were embarrassed
They are F02s MANUFACTURED IN 2003 for Paul Birds monster mob BSB effort which had these bikes supplied by Ducati Corse for 2003
F02 RHS fairings had the vertical cylinder belt cooling duct fitted into and part of the fairing; these bikes where made and raced the same year as 999 raced WSB
Now I'd like to know much more about those two bikes. DO you have any high res pictures and any info? The forks I've never seen before, nor the carbon ducting (other than on a 999RS (that maybe answers my question)). Thanks in advance.
Ok. How much are you after? Are you after any bits? I’ve just put a pair of DP clip on bars to one side. They’re the 40mm longer ones
I've got a brand new pair, still boxed if you or anyone you know is interested. Regards
No mate. Not dyno’d but getting blueprinted next year so we’ll see.
I had the DP mirrors on before but didn’t like them with the Bayliss bodywork.
If I find a cheap /damaged set, I might get them painted red with just a bit of carbon showing.
What you need on there is a nice new set of D.P carbon mirrors.
Have you had that old nail dyno'd yet?
very interesting collection of photos, looks like my interests; FCR carbs on 900sl/ss exhausts valves cams best was high ten secs and 103rwhp
yes new but second hand; Perfect 2500km
