  1. The new ones have a strong spring loaded tap to turn on so you can’t just turn it on and scald yourself

  3. Just received a phone call from my mate in Adelaide/ Australia and had a chat for a hour plus on life etc,No fire issues there or Queensland where he spent the festive season, but could smell smoke but that was probably from the beach barbecue.;)
He has just purchased a motorhome for touring Aust when the fires dampen down this year.................hmmm food for thought for me.

  5. Nice four hour ride out, around Gramat, Sarlat and back roads home. Thought I was bit mad at 3.5degress in one place early doors. But a bit smug later when the temperature briefly hit 15degrees! Heated waistcoat stayed in the tobox.

  14. When using a compressor and battleship grey it's always prudent to mask the windows :D

  15. Hopefully saved 20% of my annual energy costs today.... moved away from Scottish power.... seems to be going smoothly....
Just need to get my £1600 credit back off them.

  16. Should happen quite quickly. We’ve just done the same and got our £1300 credit within a week I think

  17. It's pretty crap they 'allow' you to get into so much 'credit' sharks the lot of 'em

  18. To be fair they keep putting my direct debit to £6 and then £24,.....
I say just leave it alone... I'd rather build up a credit than get a £2000 bill.
We normally use a huge amount in a cold winter, this winter is so mild we are using 1/2 what we would normally, plus the circulating hot water is off at the moment.
If I change to Standing Order..... they want to charge me more / different tariff.

  19. I've started updating the meter reading every month to stop them bumping it up, still over £1,000 credit is still way off the mark
