Help Identifying A Component Please

I bought this new, a good few years ago and can no longer find the receipt that would have given me a clue as to which Ohlins rear shock it would have fitted. My memory, as unreliable that is, is telling me I most likely bought it for my 748R but that it came from Ducati Corse and could be 748RS. TIA, Andy
