  2. Thanks for the tips Gaz,
This is why i like it when people do threads for there builds as the information is there for myself and others to check, as i know when its c/sprocket time i will be rechecking through this thread :upyeah:

  6. Got myself some decent paint stripper and made a worktop board with sides to stop all the crap falling out everywhere,
Just got heads left to strip then it’s painting time,

  7. Paint it once, paint it forever. Aqua blast & ACF 50, but each to their own.

    Cheers Gaz

  8. Was going the Aqua route but now probably all black, gloss barrels/head, satin cases, grey valve covers and oil cooler bracket and bolts plated.

  10. The bike is looking great. Can you tell me who did your frame welding please, my 900ss has a tiny crack near the headstock - many thanks

  11. Hi Kevin
Sorry to hear you have a crack and as you probably know it’s not uncommon,
Mine didn’t but thought as it’s a bare frame I would get it done,
I had it welded by a mate if mine who did me a favour and fitted it in at his place of work.

  12. Gradually making more progress, all engine bolts etc plated.

  13. Paint work finished on the top end with bolts loosely in to help when valves are all taken out for a clean/check and rebuild.
Need to order new inner belt covers as mine are both cracked,

  15. Fingers crossed just made the last order for parts from Moto rapido

I found out that Ducati no longer make the thin tube mesh oil filter with just the nut on the end, only the one which has the oil temp thermostat screwed in the end, so i will need to blank off the hole with a bolt.

  16. I did intend to get a new starter motor,
But thought i would have a look at the original one, first time I've opened one up, would anyone have an opinion if these brushes look original or might have been changed
