I had this message from a computer expert friend this morning : “Meta has announced plans to analyze private messages, photos, and voice notes on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp to improve its AI models, starting December 16, 2025, in most regions. This data collection will be used to personalize content and advertising, and users will not have an option to opt out unless they stop using the platforms.”
That is interesting. They probably need as much raw data as they can get, from where ever they can get it from. There is an interesting phenomenon with AI - its called model collapse. The idea is that AI responses can be relied on more so when they are based on raw human produced data. But once AI generated data is used in the AI model, the output from AI models becomes more unreliable - until it collapses. Something like that anyway.
Current problem with AI is it just learns from what is already out on the internet. Bearing in mind much of it is based on lies and made up shite, then all AI is doing is learning from lies and AI shite. And the regurgitating it.

Given Up - Cannot be done. Anything posted with Apple can only be seen with Apple and anything posted with Android can only be seen in Android. I bought the iPad for something else, but it dos not work on this forum. Not a good state of affairs and will have a bearing on whether I renew next time. Now just stuck on if I happen to be at home, or not and I am sure that before Apple that was never the case
I’ve used Android phones and the iPad Air alongside each other for years and have had no issues posting and seeing my posts on this forum using either device. Andy
I'm puzzled by your post. Macbook, ipads & iphones, plus Chromebooks and Windows 11 all work on this forum, on my account, and I prove this to myself most weeks. So they must also work on yours. Tell us what the problem is and perhaps -collectively- we will be able to help?
You can see it in TV ads now. They're mostly AI-generated and they've become juvenile, repetive and unimaginative. And often downright weird and unpleasant. Ads of yesteryear that were scripted, directed and acted by human beings rather than algorithms and a dork with a computer mouse were smarter and more entertaining.
Well, it did not work for me. The impression that I have is that introducing an iPad messed up everything. This site works well with Windows and used to be OK on Android. Introducing an iPad Air seemed to mess everything up - except Windows. I am no great fan of Android, but I have an Android phone and Android tablet that used to be fine. Now both the Apple and Android deny that I exist. I want to try buying and reading a book on the crappy iPad Air tomorrow. That is all that I was trying to do. If it does not allow that, it is useless to me and will go in the bin. Not a very good advertisement for Apple.
Well, I do have issues. Windows is fine - Android was - Apple just cocked things up. It got me "half" logged in here as me, but not fully. Post made with the Apple are only visible on the Apple and nowhere else.

No and don't worry about it. I just "flash-read" something above and may of been in the wrong forum. I don't know. maybe the iPad loves the other forum, rather than this place. I don't know. It does kinda make sense, as the Apple iPad is not very good and neither is the other place, so they make good twins. I've given up with the Apple today as I have stuff to do and I just cannot face anything Apple.
