V4 Multistrada V4 Pp Eccentric Hub Bolts Torque Setting

  1. And pls tighten them 1-2-1 base. means tighten bolt 1 to spec, than bolt 2, and then bolt 1 again. Shouldn't matter too much which to go first.

  2. Every day is a school day! I had not heard of white molybdenum until I read this - presumably it not white if it has molybdenum in it? @Android853sp

  3. I use copper paste for the brake caliper bolts, could I use it also on the rear hub bolts or does it have to be the molybdenum grease you mentioned?

  4. Yes, its colour is white. Andy

  5. Not my favourite grease as it gets runny when hot, especially if you use a bit too much. Ducati specify a grease and I’m sure others will have an opinion but when my last can of white grease expired, I started using an inherited tin of grease used for lubricating the trailer 5th wheel which seems to do the job. 6. Gen1 F4 750/1000 MV's had hub failures It was found that 30+ nm distorted the bearing causing failures
Reducing to 22- 25nm prevented this.
Later models have much heavier robust hubs.

  7. For future reference - charts from 2022-23 Ducati MTS V4 PP SM:

    Hope this helps.
