Hi, any technical Bods on here that can help identify the fault code on the reader in the photo attached Please. It’s for a Multistrada 1200 DVT 2015. Any help would be much appreciated.
I'd be checking plug leads and then coils, if you read through posts on here etc front coil leads are popular for causing misfires.
According to this page: P0354 Ignition Coil D Primary/Secondary Circuit EDIT: Duh... was reading the original post on my phone and couldn't read the rest of the display that says exactly the same as the above
on earlier air cooled models, that would be the kiss of death. it's a fair chance a new engine ECU would of be required. now i bet that's just an ignition coil, or better still, a spark plug.
Thanks for the reply, its a strange one because the bike is running fine, no misfires whatsoever, just the light has come up?
I would try clearing the fault bud and run it, see if it comes back again. Could have been just enough moisture in something to cause a slight miss and set the light off, a lot of wet moisture about this time of year too! Run it and see if it comes back then if it’s running fine now, that’s what I’d do bud.
Yeh, we've run it, cleared the fault, light goes off then comes back on next start up, strange because the bike is running fine.
P0354 Vertical cylinder secondary (not main) spark plug coil error [Open circuit], MIL yes, Electrical check. Open circuit of ignition coil. Check connectors. Ignition coil voltage is too low, ignition coil operating voltage is present at the engine control unit. No spark is present at the spark plug. Check and repair the wires or replace the ignition coil. or replace the engine control module. No limp home action.
