  6. Curiously quiet?

  7. First ride of the year on the XSR, nice 4 hour trip around Kent and Sussex. Been in storage since October and I'd forgotten what a naughty side is has. Got home and although we've had enough rain to clear the salt off the roads, it still got a decent bath to remove anything that could do harm.

  8. I hope so - i know it will never happen but a Forum Meet would be a laugh one day maybe - closest we've ever come to this is the Super Sausage Meet on the A5 where there must have been over 20 Forum members at one time over the years.

  9. Today was the closest i've come to being flattened by an Artic. (not roll) I'm not sure why i didn't get the shakes straight afterwards, maybe just adrenaline. It was unmarked luckily for the driver or would be on the phone for sure.

  10. Chris, how many lives have you used up out of the 9.?

  11. I think we have used them all up Pete - many on here, and you included? Definitely been lucky many times, and i think that's typical of a biker of several decades, and this was on a bicycle!

  16. I've found that clothes made in Asia and intended for that market can sometimes have odd sizing, but it sounds as if those jackets were intended for somewhere else. Is there a big demand for leather 1950s biker gear among the Masai?

Apparently a reliable way to check if you have average, long or short arms is that your wingspan should equal your height. I am 175cm tall but have a 182cm wingspan and as my right arm doesn't straighten properly due to a badly broken and dislocated elbow when I was 19, it is more like 186cm.

  17. It's why cyclist have cameras these days, any doing serious mileage anyway. Plenty of motorists getting fined for close passing these days.

I don't as I barely cycle these days, possibly the closest pass was up Axe Edge from Buxton to Leek, I could read the tyre information he was that close and I still recall it from the many.

  18. Living the dream yesterday replacing an elderly ladies kitchen tap.
