Shame. Good guy. Great rock and roll guitar player. He deserved a better curtain-down. I took my eldest lad to see Motörhead with Phil C in the line-up as his first gig, as it had also been my first gig way back with the original line up. Now that was a gig. Leeds Queens Hall. I think my ears are still ringing 45 years later. Amazing to think what an iconic band they became in the 6 years Lemmy, Fast Eddie and Philthy were together. The following 31 years with other line-ups were certainly worth doing and worth seeing when they came around, but they never quite captured or recreated the magic of the early days. However, they did still have some memorable songs. Try this if you never heard them towards the end. Class.

Phil Campbell - Jesus. I totally missed this. My best friend at primary school and most of secondary too. I haven't felt chills like this since I heard that Joey Dunlop had died.

Bleak House was a good book way back when. Never saw the film/ series. This guy's credits include the Boys from Black Stuff & Doctor Who & the Daleks, & A Fish Called Wanda amongst others. Seems like he was running in good company. I don't really recall him myself. RIP.
I still think what they did with those dragsters, even back in the 70’s, was nothing short of phenomenal!! Fuel/air ratio and acceleration/deceleration of those pistons Okay so they had a FOT life of 5 seconds… but blimey
Yep. Comes to us all in the end, and all too soon. Going for short distances in straight lines never really grabbed me, but what he achieved, especially with the Suzuki GSX1100 was very impressive. I remember Pip’s Village Bike Shop well. https://britishdragracinghof.co.uk/pip-higham/
