  1. Shame. Good guy. Great rock and roll guitar player. He deserved a better curtain-down.
    I took my eldest lad to see Motörhead with Phil C in the line-up as his first gig, as it had also been my first gig way back with the original line up. Now that was a gig. Leeds Queens Hall. I think my ears are still ringing 45 years later. Amazing to think what a iconic band they became in the 6 years Lemmy, Fast Eddie and Philthy were together. The following 31 years with other line-ups were certainly worth doing and worth seeing when they came around, but they never quite captured or recreated the magic of the early days. However, they did still have some memorable songs. Try this if you never heard them towards the end. Class.
