Been researching EV cars as my contract doesn't allow me to charge more than I had already agreed in February. It looks likely to be an i3. It's that or a Honda NC750 d integra as it has a claimed 85 mpg.
changed the discs and pads in my Car , then lubed the clutch cable on my Kwak W800, then had a look at my 750ss carbs Tthey run great above 2k rpm all the way to over 125mph++ but are lumpy a at tickover and rear cylinder is hesitant at tickover until 1500 rpm then its fine all the way to 8k rpm . and always have been for last 20 years but its annoying me , so i have the carbs apart again , they were ultrasonic cleaned twice last year and i rebuilt them with new parts , gaskets ,orings , new emulsion tubes ,new diaphragms , new bypass rubbers ,, etc etc but it made no difference ,, only parts i did not change 5C19 was needles,,, and slow running jets ??? , float height 14mm ,, this is bugging me for many years LOL NO AIR leaks , Valves are perfect etc etc electrics are also all new plugs , Ht leads, coils pickups etc etc ,, bike runs lovely but once off idle ,,, I want it perfect like my Monster 750 only difference is M750 has stage 2 Dyno jet ....
I have a “Walkstool”, 3 legged seat which is manufactured in Scandanavia. It’s an essential bit of kit for marshalling as it comes in various heights, is capable of supporting a larger person and all the parts are available as spares. After 3 seasons, one of the rubber feet on mine has worn through so went to look on the internet. If one was available, it was priced at around £15 plus postage but most UK retailers had no stock. Decided to look on the manufacturer’s website to find they sold them in kits of 3. Please tell me how a company in Sweden can supply 2 spare part kits (6 rubber feet and 6 plastic inserts) for €20 with free Royal Mail postage I paid for them last Thursday and the postmen has just delivered them. So it can be done. Andy
Had a lovely 50 mile ride out today and met some other nice bikers at a local pit stop. I just cannot tell you all how much I am enjoying riding my Ducati. Whether its the 40 year layoff from biking or just the new found freedom but the thrill, the sound and my quickly recovering confidence is making me very happy
