I’ve cleaned the gravel bike as I can’t ride it. The road bike, which hasn’t been used probably since September maybe October is sticking to its high maintenance reputation. Two flat tyres, rear needed the tyre moving enough for me to rod through the valve core. Drive needs a proper clean, which I will start as soon as I can unplug it. Di2 is obviously flat as, but looks to be ok, if it completes charging and the weather stays ok, I might get out later. I will phone the LBS tomorrow about the gravel bikes SRAM AXS, I’m hoping it can easily be re-paired as I’m not quite ready for it’s pre LEJOG service. It has new F & R pads, I’m hopeless at measuring the chain, but wouldn’t be surprised if that needs changing before I set off.
just buy one on these https://hopkinsoncycles.co.uk/produ...bicycle-chain-gauge-measure-stretch-detector/
I have something similar from Park Tool, I have considered chains being both ok and ready for the bin to be corrected by my LBS. I’m going to take it it with me next time and get shown how to use it.
Eventually got out on the roadie and fantastic, I always forget just how good it is and the first ride in the spring is always amazingly quick. After about a mile it turned all biblical and I thought someone is telling me to knock it on the head, so I did. Annoying as I felt really good after yesterday’s 69 mile adventure. Now im going to have to clean it properly again.
