Blythe was clearly a good navigator with a fair bit of luck to survive. But he had two mutinies on his ships, plus he was deposed in Aussie by his own team when he was the Governor of NSW. He must have brought a good deal of these problems on himself.
Feeling we'll enough to eat out, but Spain being Spain, the place where I have installed myself, doesn't start food until 9, so it will be a late'n. Tomorrow, I am going to a museum. Cultured is me. I have been in Spain a week today. I have a ship tracking app on my phone and can track the Pont Aven on my phone. Brittany Ferries work that ship like a dog. Since bringing me here, it's been back to Plymouth and then Ireland and then France (where the crew from) and back to Plymouth. I guess they have to, as the ships must cost a bit.
According to reports: "During Bligh's voyage in the longboat, he again showed his violent and erratic temper when he flew into a rage at the carpenter William Purcell for having made a snarky comment blaming Bligh for the mutiny and grabbed a cutlass and demanded that the carpenter fight him. The sailing master John Fryer had to intervene and order Bligh's arrest in order to stop the fight, but was forced to relent when it was clear Bligh would rather die than give up command."
Hi buddy It came as a kit from Atlantica Gardens in 2022 Not sure if they’re still trading but it’s been a nice addition to the top patio, our soil is really flinty so a traditional pond was out of the question. It was a bugger to get the oak level & square for the glass framed window & box liner. Doug
Waited in for BT Openreach to come and diagnose the fault of our recently installed fibre connection, which required them to replace the cable between the Grey box and the ONT. I tidied the garage.
Did the museum of prehistory today. Fortunately, there was lots of information in English, as well as Spainy and French. Quite alot went on here and it made sense that the crowd from Cardiff University were coming over all tooled up. I dunno what the rules are here but hybrid Toyota Corrola taxis seem popular. Maybe it's just the price of gas, of which I have no idea what it is here. I went out without a jacket and still haven't been back to my room to get it. Can't say I am at all warm. Definitely lucked on the weather, but it's just how it goes. No rain, or signs of it, is the good side.
Sure there's a song in that sentence, after an exhaustive search of my memory banks I came up this this little gem. I know it's not the Beatles but we'll........
no, part -thawing particularly on top shelf. I know some have different management systems. Some try and make up the deficit by going full freeze mode while door open, some only do this once door shut - mine appears to be the latter.
Just got back from a lovely ride of my little Honda 350Four; first time out on it since getting the Ducati. When I first got the 350 it I thought it was throaty but now having experienced the Duc it sounds like a sewing machine. Nice to be able to throw around though for a different set of thrills.
Checked the weather forecast and washed both cars; sky is now as black as night and the wind is picking up…
