  1. No, I want 2 off 42x25x12 to fit the NC30 bearing seat and accept a GSXR axle But that size is impossible. Plenty of options at 42x25x9.

  2. Thought I might have got it wrong ;)

  3. I'm needing an engineer like @bootsam or @Arquebus to come and tell me everything will be ok.

It doesn't help that, although I have access to the bearing technical data I have no clue what it all means

  4. I'll Google that bearing number as it might bring something up. Not buying Chinese bearings though...

  5. Neither would I, but they only copy so they must be available here ;) maybe your local bearing supplier would be able to source.

  6. I've been looking on simply bearings but that bearing number brings up a 47mm OD.

  7. Many of the bearings listed in search results come up as different sizes when actually checked with a supplier website

  8. A read through a different forum suggests that some others have used the 9 mm bearings with a 3mm spacer and it's all been hunky dory. Apparently the 42x25x9 is a motocross wheel bearing.

  9. I like the way the Chinese ones on Ali Baba are available in SKF boxes - just shows you need to be careful buying on-line and not from a reputable supplier I guess!

  10. Simply bearings all the way for me from now on. 24 hour delivery by first class post last week. I'm now going to see if I can track down a GSXR or Ducati wheel for less than the £60 I need to spend on bearings and spacers.

Edit: I have decided to get some £4 budget bearings to put in to the NC30 original wheel. This is just to allow me to use the GSXR spindle and the NC30 front wheel to move the chassis around over the winter and return the race wheel I borrowed from MADASL. I don't even know if the engine is in any kind of fit state to run yet, so it gives me plenty of time to decided whether to go for a proper GSXR wheel or keep the NC30 wheel.

Time to start a new project thread then...

  11. That's who I used for my front Dymag bearings and for my radial anti dive caliper bracket - which is only an MDF mock up at the moment.

  15. I doubt you'll find a 30x55x14.
    But weemoto will stock x13.
I used them in my 749 head stock. Far better than angular contact bearings.

  16. I didn't have any trouble in the end, fitting x17mm headrace bearings. The cups were much shallower than 17mm and the bearing seal sits in the right place when tightened so all is well.
