If he can't fulfil his legal obligation of supplying the original free V5, or even in the time he's had to apply for a replacement, what chance is there of them supplying a newly cut and programmed key? It would also need to be written that there was two keys to be supplied or it's just your word against theirs.....and I don't see many sales receipts that say two keys to be supplied.

I found Chris booth a nice guy and very reasonable. Once he was involved it was sorted straight away.
Well I met with Chris and he was very concerned that having helped his old customer out that he'd managed to piss me off in the process. However he immediately got on with the situation of getting a new V5 from the DVLA, and getting a new spare key sorted for me on Saturday. Plus he will sort out the tax disc that flew off when I picked the bike up and he'll sort out future servicing and merchandise as and when. So far he gets a thumbs up! But I will reserve judgement till its all done and dusted.
