I'm 6'3" as well and I bought a 1260s as I fancied something different and was quite pleased with it but found the riding position a bit low....
I can't remember the make, but they are straighter and lower than the orginals, it was a pain to source as the original diameter is not a standard...
I've got a 1260s and couldn't get on with the riding position and lack of ground clearance, so fitted rearsets, slightly flatter and straighter...
it doesn't go anywhere near the CanBus - bollox it is then!
If I remember, it took me the best part of a day - but then I was doing a few other things as well I would imagine a dealer wouldn't want to do it...
No electrical issues, they just need some time and patience to fit
Actually, moving the footrest back and up have made a better position for my legs, also overcomes the ground clearance issue. The raised seat also...
Fitted the last item to make the bike to my taste.. Now has lower more forward bars, rearsets, "comfort" seat (+40mm), tail tidy and Termi exhaust...
Does anyone know how to remove the handlebar switch gear on the later 1260S? I have removed the bottom cover on the LHS, but can't see an easy way...
